El Rancho Unified School District is proud to host hundreds of students, coaches and community members from across Los Angeles County who will gather at El Rancho High School on Saturday, January 28, 2023 for the loudest, most intense event of the Los Angeles County Academic Decathlon, the “Super Quiz”. We invite the community to join us in cheering on our ERHS decathletes as they take turns answering tough questions in front of a live audience.

The Los Angeles County Academic Decathlon is a rigorous and fun scholastic team competition that challenges students to demonstrate knowledge and skill in academic subjects, essay writing, interviewing and speechmaking.
Academic Decathlon teams vie for medals, and the chance to compete at the state and national levels. Winners will be recognized in a special banquet ceremony next month.
This is the first year that the Los Angeles County Academic Decathlon is being held in-person since the start of the pandemic. The event was held virtually for the past two years.
